So games haven't changed too much in the last 5 years, they have the same old annoying characteristics even though the hardware has vastly improved. Why is that? I think the game publishers should take on the challenge to fix these 20 things that are wrong with games.
Fake U2 Rooftop Concert
Some guys in New York put together a fake and funny U2 concert atop a roof opposite where the real U2 were playing. It was kinda neat and they go into great detail from multiple perspectives of what really happened. They even got arrested!
Mario's Pickup Lines
When Mario's not off saving Princess from the evil clutches of Bowser, I guess he's practicing his pick up lines on other Nintendo characters. He does have a few good funny ones.

Coldplay is Big
You can tell when a band is big when they start to do biographies on you. Either that or they call your album 'Album' and say you're The Fir Trees. Well, Coldplay is big.
America Adopts Korean Eater
I suppose this happens in track & field all the time, but I find it funny that America is rooting for their US star of Korean origin against the Japanese champ in what? well the sport of Eating of course. She really is a fob.

The Console Hype
By now you have already heard about how cool the PS3 and XBox 360 will be, but really these features may or may not actually end up in the finished product. Just look at the launch of the PS2 and XBox and you'll see that many of these promises are just like election promises.

Playing Around With Amazon Images
So I always thought that the images shown by Amazon were hard coded to the actual image file, but it looks like they are actually run through an image editing script to add all the doo-dads and transformations on the base cover image. Some guy has hacked into Amazon's images and figured out what everything does.
iPod Table
An art student has taken the iPod trend and went ahead to create a table from an iPod, no not the mini but a huge iPod. It looks pretty cool and if I had a million dollars I may actually buy one.

The Future of Web Browsing?
The semantic web is where we are destined, and you can almost get there with a new plugin for Firefox called Piggy Bank. I'm not sure how it works or if its easy, but from the screenshots it does look kinda useful.
How To Become A Morning Person
Now that we've graduated from school, it would be helpful if we can wake up on time to goto work. That's why this link on how to become an early riser is especially timely and useful. Now if there is a how-to to defeat procrastination...

Does Jackie Chan Do His Own Stunts?
An article in Slate describes how insurance is a driving factor in film making. To a point that representatives for these companies may prevent actors and actresses from performing stunts which they deem are risky. This would make it very difficult for Jackie Chan to perform his own stunts. I smell a conspiracy.

Increasing (your) Subway Efficiency
Wonder where exactly to stand on the subway platform in TTC so that you get on the subway at the proper place where you're supposed to get off? The whole process shouldn't be as confusing as the last sentence now that there is a TTC subway rider efficiency guide.

Nintendo To Take On Cell Phones?
This is just pure and utterly false speculation, but it sounds as though Nintendo wants to take on cell phones. Why do I say this? Well first there was the introduction of a minuaturized and "cool" Gameboy and now there's VoIP using the DS' wifi capabilities. Pretty soon you'll see anti-n-gage's running around from Nintendo.
Knowledge = Worse Memory
I had something clever to say about this link but I can't remember it. Anyways, a study has found that increased knowledge actually decreases the ability to remember things. The reasoning behind this is that if you will make pre-disposed categorizations about what you see and have difficulty remembering detail. Maybe it's true?

Tabloids & Cameron Diaz
There is a funny story floating around the internet about some guy who almost ended up in the tabloids being linked with Cameron Diaz. I guess this is a good example of how much of a stretch these people in the tabloid industry have to go to get a good story.

The Next Step In Search?
Google's recent web accelerator may help users surf the web faster, but it may actually be the key to Google's plan to crawl the dark web. Too bad the web accelerator has certain problems with web applications that have to be fixed before it can really take off.
Malcolm Gladwell On Interviews
I read this article awhile ago and a bunch of time has passed since then so I don't really remember what to blog about it. More or less it discusses about whether interviews are actually useful or do people hire from first impressions.
Interesting Infiniti Ad
An interesting Infiniti ad appeared in US newspapers the other day. Why was it so clever? well it was a full page ad with a weather report and a punchline within.
Date Geeks & Nerds
Well instead of advertising yourself at Lava Life or Match.com, you might try sending this webpage of why geeks and nerds are worth dating to your prospects.
Starting A Fire
How do you start a fire in the wilderness if you're a big fat american kid? Well you'd call upon your boy scout training and use your chocolate and coke to start a fire.
