People wonder why gas prices are so high, and while the lack of gas is a factor, the addition of gas tax upon the actual price is another huge factor. Of course, most citizens would yell and shout at their government to remove or at least lower the gas tax, but in fact a gas tax makes a lot of sense to offset other factors that result from our reliance on gas.
